Skanray & CEI-Italy form JV to Manufacture X Ray Tubes

Skanray Technologies, specialists in X-Ray equipment and remote Wellness Management devices signed the Joint venture agreement with CEI Italy for design and manufacture of Stationary X-Ray tubes in Mysore, India on the 10th of November. CEI-Skanray Radiology Devices Pvt. Ltd, the newly formed company with CEI holding 51% and Skanray holding 49% will be housed in the Skanray Technologies facility at Hebbal Mysore. CEI would invest in their factory at Bologna Italy and their JV unit in Mysore to develop advanced technology and process and grow in the Global stationary tube market.

CEI (Compagnia Elettronica Italiana) are pioneers in the stationary X-Ray Tubes Technology since 1956 and holds leadership position in the European market. With several unique designs and processes, the JV aims to be a world leader in the Stationary tube market for healthcare and Industrial applications in three years.

With this Joint Venture, Skanray Technologies will be the first in India to have stationary tubes for Dental, mobile and Industrial X Ray systems and among the few in the world to design and manufacture complete X-Ray systems including the HF generators, tubes, sensing devices and imaging Software.

This will help us in fulfilling our promise of bringing "Advanced Technology and Affordability "to the Rural Healthcare Mission of India and the rest of the developing world.

Skanray Gets AERB approval , Skanray Goes Global.

Skanray will be shipping X-Ray units for Dental and Mobile applications to Latin America and Europe for the exhibitions, testing and distribution. Dr. Kasi Viswanathan Director and Head of the Imaging Solutions team Skanray and Mr. SL Sriram, VP Sales disclosed releasing the shipments to select customers in the country.

Following the AERB approval Skanray's, SRE and Quality Head B Parasuram released the test results in support of the claim by Skanray that their X Ray units employing SkanSAFE® and SkanSHIELD®. This innovation and patented technology ensures the lowest leakage radiation in the market and provides for exceptional patient safety and safety for the dentists, radiologists and X-Ray technicians.

TDB, Government of India Funding for Skanray

In recognition of Skanray's efforts in Industrializing of innovative Indian technology that benefits the rural masses, Technology Development Board of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, signed an Agreement funding Skanray Technologies of Rs 4.7 Crores in Nov 2009.
Mr. Dinesh Sharma, Secretary, TDB along with the Senior Scientist and Project Director Mr PS Raju, Chief Scientist Mr. Mahendra Pal and Mr.Sharad Kumar Srivastava, Legal Advisor, TDB is seen along with Mr. K Balasubramanian, Director and CTO Skanray Technologies and Mr. Vishwaprasad Alva Managing Director at a function in TDB New Delhi office signing the agreement.
Mr. Dinesh Sharma congratulating Skanray said "We believe Skanray will deliver World class technology to the needy at affordable prices and this funding is to support and encourage entrepreneurs with a dream, growing Innovation with a noble cause".

Skanray operations in Brazil

Skanray launched their latest range of dental X-Ray imaging equipment and S/W at the 28th international Dental conference at Sao Paulo, Brazil. Skanray's stall received overwhelming response for the product features and simplicity of the imaging solutions.
