Vishwaprasad Alva, CEO & MD

Vishwaprasad Alva brings in more than 19 years of experience, in the field of power converter design, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing process, business management and marketing. He is a Post-Graduate in Power Electronics with training in Business Management from KIAMS.

Alva started his career in Kirloskar Electric Co. in Power Converters division and worked in design of advanced Power converters and control for UPS and Industrial automation. After 9 years as a R & D head in Kirloskar including a 2 year stint in operations, Marketing and Customer service, Alva moved over to GE medical systems in 1999 to form and lead the X Ray Generators group. As a Senior Manager of X Ray Engineering, he was responsible for development of products for new applications, technology transfer of products, support the customer base across the globe and deliver productivity on existing products. His responsibilities  included project execution control, budgeting , Global technology growth plan strategy, resource planning & development, and coordination with cross functional Operations team.

Prior to founding Skanray, Alva was serving at the GE headquarters in Milwaukee -USA as a Technical Integration Manager leading the Image Chain sub-systems projects for CT and coordinating the Global X-Ray synergy within other businesses of GE using X Ray technology. He held the responsibility to drive Lean concepts and design guidelines  across multiple engineering teams of the Image Chain group.
